Three Classifications for a Successful Life

Tell me what you think of this paper. Leave a comment and grade it honestly please. I value all your opinions.

Classification: A class is a group of things or situations that share one or more characteristics prescribed to determine membership in the class.

Having a successful life is in itself a classification. Here are three sub classifications that you need to have a spiritually successful life.

⦁Keeping priorities on the eternal. Matthew 6:19-20 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.” Great possessions such as money, cars, land and mansions will soon be forgotten and nonexistent. Everything in this world that is a possession that we consider to be a treasure will disappear with time. There is however treasures that will last for eternity.

1 Corinthians 9:24-25 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. We do not know what we will earn in heaven, but we will be rewarded. Honor God in all that one thinks, says and does.

⦁Good influences. It is necessary to surround yourself with good company and uplifting fellowship. People that would fit into this class would be fellow church goers, friends and family, and teachers. Proverbs 13:20 Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm. With bad leadership come bad followers. 1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived: "Bad company ruins good morals.” To have a successful life spiritually it is necessary to stay on the straight and narrow. The journey of faith is not one to be taken alone.

⦁Dependence on God Being dependent on God is the most important classification to having a successful life. To be dependent on God, one must forsake the flesh and the desire to lean on their own understandings. John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease." 2 Corinthians 12:9 "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Leaning on the God in heaven is the only way to have a successful life.
